Aveva System Platform Tools

We offer custom software solutions that work seamlessly with Aveva System Platform. These System Platform addon products and tools are developed in house at core automation. Our suite of tools are designed to enhance your system's functionality, security, and efficiency.

These include SPioSPY, Active Directory User Role Checker, SASS (SCADA Alarming Support System), and the System Platform Migration Tool.

SPioSPY

SPioSPY is a powerful tool designed to enhance your System Platform experience

This advanced software streamlines the process of searching, filtering, and referencing attributes and I/O throughout a galaxy, providing a comprehensive solution for efficient system management.

Advanced Searchable Fields

Effortlessly input and locate attribute data.

Comprehensive Alarm Management

Monitor and manage alarm messages and priorities.

Duplicate I/O Detection

Identify and resolve duplicate I/O usage issues.

Instance and Attribute Search

Quickly find specific instances and attributes.

SPioSPY is your ultimate ally for fault detection and system optimisation, ensuring the health and reliability of your System Platform Galaxy.

Active Directory User Role Checker

Control visibility & access

Enhance your security and user management with our Active Directory User Role Checker. By importing the Core Automation function and UDA, you can easily add the Active Directory security groups you wish to verify. Upon user login, the username is parsed with the Galaxy repository, returning a true or false for each specified group.

This functionality enables you to control visibility and access to items or objects within graphics and interfaces. For example, a user may be restricted from changing set points or activating plant operations unless they belong to a specific role. While System Platform security typically advises on permissions only after an action is attempted, Core Automation’s Role Checker allows you to display, advise, or hide these options immediately after an operator logs in.

SASS

Streamline the fault-finding process

SASS is designed to address the challenges posed by increasingly complex automated plants and the loss of technical expertise when experienced staff leave. SASS empowers operations staff by providing instant access to crucial information about any alarm within the SCADA system. With a simple double-click on a displayed alarm, operators can view relevant details and corrective actions, streamlining the fault-finding process.

Enhanced Efficiency

SASS enhances efficiency by grouping related faults under a single alarm action, making it easier to manage and respond to recurring issues.

Customisable Alarm Types

The system is fully customisable, allowing for the creation of multiple alarm groupings, or "Alarm Types," for better granularity.

Seamless Integration

SASS integrates seamlessly with your existing SCADA system, enabling real-time edits and updates by authorised users.

SASS is your ultimate tool for efficient alarm management, ensuring that your operations run smoothly and effectively.

System Platform Migration Tool

Our System Platform Migration Tool simplifies the process of migrating your existing systems to the Aveva System Platform. This tool ensures a smooth transition, minimising downtime and preserving the integrity of your data and configurations.

DataGetter

Enhance your data management

DataGetter allows you to retrieve data from external systems with API functions, bringing it directly into your AVEVA Historian or SQL tables.

Currently Supported APIs

HiLo (Waterwatch)

Endress+Hauser Netilion

NIWA

Geotechnics

Hilltop

Enhance your data management by leveraging these integrations for streamlined and efficient operations.

JSON/HTTP post tool

Real-Time & Historical Data Integration

Aveva System Platform integrated solution , allows you to retrieve real-time system attributes or read historical records from a Aveva Historian. The data is posted in JSON format over HTTP to your cloud-based broker for visualization and further analysis.

Customisable Configuration

Fully configurable to meet various broker requirements, our system offers flexibility in data transmission. You can set triggers based on changes of state, periodic intervals, or a combination of both for live data streaming. Historical data can be efficiently back-loaded by specifying the start date, with each record systematically sent to the broker or dashboard service.

Log File Reader

Flexible configuration

The Log File Reader is a versatile utility designed to integrate data into Wonderware Historian. It is capable of reading log files generated by software like IOServer, supporting a wide range of formats.

The user interface allows for flexible configuration, enabling you to specify exactly where the relevant data resides within the file.

This tool offers two modes of operation: you can either read and process log files line by line, as they are updated, or manually select files for processing. Historian tags can be mapped to any relevant data within the log file, ensuring continuous updates as the file is appended.
